Group products by colour, type, or fabric into aisles that flow like an edited collection
CONTROL
Every aisle has its own logic and story
Sort one aisle by trending, another by new arrivals, another by units sold. Each aisle runs its own conditions independently while the overall visual story holds.
OPTIMISE
Let your best performing aisles lead automatically
Let your aisles reorder themselves based on performance data with Smart Sequences
Style your PLPs like a physical store floor
In a physical store, every aisle is intentional. Online, recreating that takes far more effort than it should.
Sequences lets you define a visual structure for your PLPs by colour, type, fabric, or theme and leave it. Products fill each aisle automatically and update as rankings shift or new arrivals come in. With Smart Sequences, the best performing aisle rises to the top on its own.
The story stays. The products move themselves. The smartest way to style your Shopify collections is here.

Common questions
Everything you need to know
Tagalys Sequences let you define a visual structure for your Shopify collection pages, the same way a physical store organises its floor into intentional aisles. You group products into aisles by colour, product type, fabric, or theme, give each aisle its own sort conditions and its own number of products, and Tagalys fills them automatically. Set your occasionwear aisle to sort by trending and your new arrivals aisle to sort by date added. Products slot in and update on their own as your catalogue changes. The aisles stay in place. The products inside them move themselves.
Pinning works one product at a time. To make a large collection look curated, you would need to place each product individually and repeat that every time rankings shift or new stock arrives. Tagalys Sequences work at the aisle level. You define the conditions for each aisle, set the sort logic, and Tagalys fills it. A new product that matches an aisle's conditions appears in the right place automatically. Nothing breaks when rankings change. You do the creative work once and the page stays current on its own.
Any attribute in your Shopify catalogue — colour, product type, fabric, tags, price range, sale status, new arrivals, and more. You can combine attributes using and/or conditions for more precision. An aisle could be in-stock knitwear sorted by units sold. The next could be new occasionwear sorted by date added. Every aisle is fully independent in its conditions and sort logic, so each part of your PLP can behave differently while the overall story stays coherent.
A Smart Sequence adds a second layer of intelligence on top of your aisle structure. With standard Sequences, your aisles stay in the order you defined. With Smart Sequences, Tagalys evaluates which aisle is performing best each day using a metric you choose - units sold, CTR, add-to-cart rate, etc., and reorders the aisles accordingly. If your linen aisle starts converting better than your cotton aisle this week, it moves to the top automatically. The products within each aisle are already sorting dynamically. Smart Sequences adds a further layer: the aisles themselves move too, based on what is actually working. Your prime real estate always goes to your best-performing category.
You decide both. There is no fixed limit on aisles. You set how many products appear per aisle and how far down the page the Sequence runs. You could run your structure across the first 150 products, then let a default sort order take over after that. This gives you precise control over how much of your PLP the visual story covers and how much prime real estate is being used intentionally.
The aisle structure holds and the products within it update. When a new product matches the conditions for an aisle, it appears in the right place without anyone touching the page. When rankings shift, products reorder within their aisle. The visual story stays consistent even as the catalogue underneath it changes.
Yes. A local boost lets you promote or demote products within a single aisle only, without changing anything elsewhere on the page or across other collections. This is different from a global boost, which applies across all your collections at once. If a specific product needs to lead its aisle for a campaign or a launch, a local boost handles that precisely with no impact anywhere else.
Yes. Save your Sequence as a Global Sort Option and apply it to as many collections as you need in one step. The GSO view shows you exactly which collections the strategy is currently applied to, so nothing falls out of sync across a large catalogue. If you update the strategy, every collection it has been applied to reflects the change automatically.
No. Tagalys Sequences run server-side when your collections are set up that way. The aisle structure is built into the page on first load, with no client-side reordering, no layout shift, and no impact on crawlability or load time. Search engines receive a fully rendered page from the first request.
