The Tagalys New Arrivals widget is a product recommendation carousel that surfaces your most recently published products on any page of your Shopify store, sorted automatically by publish date. The moment a product is published in Shopify, it is eligible to appear in the widget. There is nothing to update manually. The widget reads publish dates directly from your Shopify catalogue and stays current as your inventory changes.
Products are sorted by their published date in Shopify, with the most recently published, in-stock products appearing first. The widget updates automatically whenever new products are added to your catalogue. You can also apply conditions to control which new arrivals qualify, for example limiting the widget to a specific product type, excluding discounted products, or filtering by category.
A New In collection page is a destination. Shoppers have to know to go there and choose to navigate to it. The New Arrivals Recommendations widget brings new products to shoppers wherever they already are. A shopper browsing a product detail page, a collection page, or the homepage sees new arrivals without having to navigate anywhere. The widget is discovery. The collection page is a destination. Both serve different moments in the shopper journey and work better together than either does alone.
Yes. You can apply conditions to control exactly which products surface. Common filters include limiting the widget to a specific product type or category so each page recommends new arrivals relevant to what the shopper is already looking at, excluding products on sale, and setting a minimum stock level so the widget never recommends products that are nearly sold out. Conditions can be combined using and/or logic.
On the homepage, a New In strip gives every visitor visibility of your latest products without needing to navigate to a collection. On a product detail page, a New Arrivals strip keeps shoppers exploring if the product they are viewing is not quite right. On a collection page, it surfaces new products within that category to shoppers who are already browsing. The right placement depends on where in the journey a shopper is most open to discovering something new.
Out of stock products are automatically removed from the widget and replaced by the next qualifying product sorted by publish date. You do not need to monitor or manually update the widget when stock changes.
